Environmental Technology Societies and Federations

United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) – The EPA is the official United States government agency responsible for the regulation and oversight of activity that may impact the environment. The EPA leads efforts in the development of new technology in the areas of environmental science. The Agency promotes science research and efforts in education and environmental assessment.

IAEMS - The international organization consists of eleven members worldwide. Activities of the IAEMS include the sponsorship of international conventions and conferences including the International Conference on Environmental Mutagens in Human Populations (ICEMHP). The IAEMS also provides information on science journals and university scholarships pertaining to relevant areas of study.

Environmental Mutagen Society (EMS) – The mission of the EMS is to promote international efforts in scientific research for the development of technology to ensure a safe and sustainable environment for the future. The EMS provides information on upcoming meetings and workshops. The organization also provides resources in connection with scholarly literature, education and professional development, and special interest groups.

United Kingdom Environmental Mutagen Society (UKEMS) – UKEMS is an organization that represents the interests of science researchers involved in the study of environmental agents including chemicals and radiation that cause genetic damage. The Society is interested in the development of new technology and the promotion of academic research to further our understanding of the mechanisms and consequences of DNA damage. Other scientific endeavors of interest include pharmaceutical research, the study of DNA repair, and mutagenesis.

Forum on Technology and Innovation (FTI) - The Forum on Technology and Innovation is an organization that seeks to monitor and encourage research and developments in science and technology in a number of areas including genetics, the study of the human genome, and pharmaceutical research.
